For this year there is something a little different on the operational front, combining three prior individual games into a Second World War campaign weekend. The first is Czech Mate '38, (alternate history), then Hold the Line in '39 (Poland) and 1940, the Blitzkrieg Story (Low Countries and France). each game will have at least two sides, the Allies in 1940 have their work cut out though.
Participants can attend one, two or all three and have the option of changing sides or role between them, as well as taking a turn at umpiring (there is no charge for the latter, express interest in comments box).
All games utilise the 'Blockspiel' system with visible regimental blocks on an 'open' map, as well as hidden/disguised movement adding to the fog of war. This is compounded by a dispersed chain of command which makes players work hard to gather, assimilate and process information in order to complicate decision-making.
